Draw for world interclub championship held

Baku. 4 September. REPORT.AZ/ A draw for the world interclub championship due in the United Arad Emirates has been held at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

According to Report, the rivals to compete in the tournament were revealed as a result of the draw.

The opening match will be held between UAE's Al-Ain and New Zealand's Wellington on December 12. The winner of the match will encounter the team that wins the African Champions' League final. Another match will be held between the winner of the Champions Leagues of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association (CONCACAF), Mexican Gvadalajara and the winner of the Asian Champions League (AFC). This will be the third match in the tournament.

The last winner of the tournament and the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid and the winner of Libertadores Cup (CONMEBOL) will join the struggle from the semifinal. The winner of the second match will encounter the winner of CENMEBOL in the seminal, while the winner of the third match will oppose Real Madrid's rival in the semifinal. The matches within the semifinal will be held on December 18-19.

The final and the match for the third place will be held on December 22.
