Disclosed rivals of Azerbaijan national team in UEFA's Nations League - UPDATED

Baku. 24 January. REPORT.AZ/ UEFA's Nations League draw ceremony was held in Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Report informs, as a result of draw the rivals of Azerbaijan national team have been determined.

The team headed by head coach Gurban Gurbanov is in the League D, Group 3. Our rivals are Faroe Islands, Malta and Kosovo.

League D

Group 1: Georgia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Andorra

Group 2: Belarus, Luxemburg, Moldova, San Marino

Group 3: Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands, Malta and Kosovo

Group 4: FYR Macedonia, Armenia, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar.

UEFA Nations League draw ceremony has today started in Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Report informs Azerbaijan will be represented in League D of the tournament to be held for the first time in history.

The national team headed by head coach Gurban Gurbanov is in Pot 1 along with teams with the highest rating in this league. 

AFFA Secretary General Elkhan Mammadov, head coach of Azerbaijan national team Gurban Gurbanov and the Head of public relations section at AFFA Firuz Abdulla represented Azerbaijan at the event.
