Davor Šuker not satisfied with FIFA work

Moscow. 2 July. REPORT.AZ / Money is very important for football, but that's not all it needs. Russian bureau of Report News Agency was told by the President of the Croatian Football Union (HFS), bronze medalist of the World Cup-98, Davor Šuker.

According to him, preparation of many national teams for the World Cup held in Russia was not enough.

"The favorites do not win this championship. Something happened to them. I consider that the quality of training of Germany, Argentina and other losing teams was not satisfactory," said the legend of Croatian football.

Šuker is inclined to see many problems of the national teams, in the strong occupation of their leaders.

"UEFA and FIFA should think how to revive football. A lot of games are played for the season. Leading players participate in a variety of different tournaments: sometimes they play 18 matches per month. In addition, there are constant flights between the cities," said the President of the Croatian Football Union.

He noted that it is necessary to raise such issues more often in international football organizations. "I'm a member of the Presidium of the UEFA and we will talk about it . I know that money is very important for football, but that's not all it needs," Davor Šuker said.
