Czech national squad changes two footballers

Baku. 2 October. REPORT.AZ/ On the eve of the 2018 World Cup Qualifying Group matches between Azerbaijan and San Marino, two players have been replaced in Czech national football squad.

Report informs referring to the official website of Czech Football Association, defender Theodor Gebre Selassie and striker Milan Škoda were removed from the squad.

Gebre Selassi left the squad due to family issues and Škoda because of injury. They were replaced by Vatslav Kadlets and Yan Sikora.

Sparta striker Kadlets returned to the team one year later. Last time he played against the Azerbaijani national team on October 11 last year. At that time the game ended in a draw. Kadlets has three goals in total.

Last time 33-year-old Sikora played in a friendly match against Lithuania in March where the opposing team lost 3: 0. He joined the Slavia after his recovery. The experienced defender had 4 matches in the team.

Notably, the Czech Republic will be the guest of the Azerbaijani national team on October 5 at the Baku Olympic Stadium. 

On October 8, the team headed by Karel Jarolím will receive San Marino team.
