Cuban EcuRed encyclopedia adds an article about Azerbaijan's Qarabag FC

Baku. 23 October. REPORT.AZ/ An article about Azerbaijan's Qarabag FC was added to the EcuRed online encyclopedia (www.ecured.cu) of the Scientific and Technological Information Institute of Cuba.

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Cuba told Report that article features the history of FC Qarabag's establishment, its belonging to Aghdam district - occupied territory of Azerbaijan, and the club's playing for the first time in history of Azerbaijani football in group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

It reads that Qarabag had to temporarily settle in the capital Baku following the occupation of Azerbaijan's Nagorno-Karabakh including Aghdam city by Armenia in 1993.

The paper also describes emblems and logo of the club featuring Qarabag horses, gives information about gaming style of Qarabag FC, historical results and head coach of the team Gurban Gurbanov.

According to official statistics, EcuRed online encyclopedia is the most used and visited information source in Cuba for the citing of Cuban state and governmental organizations including high schools and local media.
