“Copenhagen’s” captain assesses match with “Qarabag”

Baku. 16 August. REPORT.AZ/ “It was a hard away match. We knew that “Qarabag” has great experience in home matches, and especially we had to defend from the rival’s counter-attacks. What we said has happened. The result of the match shows it.”

Report informs, footballer of Denmark’s “Copenhagen” F.C. William Kvist said in an interview with the TV+3 channel after the defeat to “Qarabag” with the score of 0:1 in the play-off match of the Champions League in Baku. The 32-year-old midfielder said: “We could not pressure at the end of the match as we wanted. I cannot say that it was due to hot weather conditions.”

“Copenhagen’s” captain also assessed chances for the return match. “In the previous stage, we lost to Macedonia’s “Vardar”, but we claimed victory at home with the score of 4:1 and passed the stage. Now, the chances are also 50/50. We are not satisfied with losing with the score of 0:1 either. We would like to score at least one goal. The opponent could score a goal even though it did not create many goal opportunities; we could not create enough goal chances.”

Notably, “Copenhagen” – “Qarabag” match will be held at the “Parken” Stadium on August 23 at 22:45 Baku time.
