Chingiz Abdullayev: I came to "Neftchi" not to lose

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Neftchi" club, Chingiz Abdullayev said it in his interview with Report.

Chingiz Abdullayev believes that his team will qualify for the Europe League group stage and noted that they will try not to miss the third place in the national championship. The Chairman of the Council also spoke about a former president of "Neftchi" Sadig Sadigov. He said that during S.Sadigov's presidency, the club made great achievements: "We appreciate it and I always thank him for establishing such a team. I want to win the cups not lesser than he got and want to be the winner of the national championship and qualified for the European Cup win".

"I did not come to lose. At least, it needs to create a successful team and make them play," he said.

C.Abdullayev commented on reports on the appointment of his relatives to "Neftchi" FC. He said that he brought his relatives neither to the club nor the Writers Union: "When I was asked whether I want my daughter or son to be a writer, I always said 'God forbid'. I think that it's not true. If I knew that my son could be striker as Ronaldo, I would bring him to the club to play, but I know that it cannot be. Then bring him to undermine the work? There is no need to fill the pocket. I think it is not true. The first thing you have to think is the work. I need to work with professionals. When I reviewed the Veli Gasimov's form, I was surprised that such a player was unemployed. I'm glad that he will work with us."
