BATE head coach: Qarabag FC is a serious rival

Baku. 2 August. REPORT.AZ/ In order to not to deceive ourselves we didn’t jump forward before the match with HJK. We did not study the potential competitors in detail. I am sure Qarabag is a serious rival.

Report was told by Qarabag's UEFA Champions League third qualifying round opponent Belarusian BATE team coach Aleksey Baga.

He said that they would analyze opponent soon: I know that Qarabag played last season in Champions League group stage. Probably, the environment in Baku will not be easy for us and there will be many domestic fans. We started to prepare for the game with the Azerbaijani club after the final whistle of the Belgian referee in Helsinki. There's no time to waste. Our first meeting will be away match. We will analyze the opponent and decide how to set up the game”.

Notably, in the II qualifying round Qarabag FC defeated Albania's Kukesi team and BATE HJK. The first match between these teams will be held in Baku on August 7 and the return match in Borisov on July 14.
