Azerbaijani national team drops 23 spots in FIFA ranking

Baku. 16 October. REPORT.AZ/ FIFA has announced the next ranking of world teams.

Report informs, the national team of Azerbaijan has dropped 23 spots in comparison with the previous month.

At present, the team ranks 115th with 273 points. The cause of the drop is loss to the Czech Republic 1:2 and Germany 1:5 of the team coached by Robert Prosinečki, at 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

German team of Group C remains the 1st with 1,631 points. Dropping 3 spots, Northern Ireland ranked 23rd with 889 points. The Czech Republic climbs 12 spots with 699 points and becomes 46th, Norway rose by 15 spots and becomes 58th with 620 points, while San Marino remains the same in the ranking, 204th with 10 points.

Notably, Brazil remained 2nd with 1,619 points, Portugal 3rd with 1,446 points. Dropping by 6 spots, Turkey is 33rd with 807 points.
