Azerbaijani footballers to train at Spanish club under organization of ASTA Football Academy

A cooperation agreement was signed between ASTA Football Academy Azerbaijan Sport Talents Academy (ASTA) and Marcet Football Academy located in Barcelona, Spain, Report informs.

according to the agreement, Spanish coaches will visit Baku to choose among 50 talented football players born in 2008-2009 selected by ASTA and take about 15-20 of them to their country.

Azerbaijani teenagers will study at the Marcet Football Academy with the financial support of ASTA for the next 4 years.

The parties envisioned a regular continuation of the project. The next selection process is planned to be held in Azerbaijan in 2024 or 2025. At that time, the selectors of the Marcet Football Academy will test the teenagers born in 2010-2011.

Marcet Football Academy coaches Rivero Carlos Arias and Ragel Marmol Felipe will test the youngsters offered by ASTA at the Baku Olympic Stadium until July 2.
