Baku. 3 December. REPORT.AZ/ "We are in a good group. There is no need to talk about the power of opponents. Everyone is aware of the capabilities of these teams,"Azerbaijani national team player Ruslan Gurbanov said.
Report informs that Gurbanov was commenting on the draw of the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. The 27-year-old striker said they would go out and struggle in each match: “We will see our result at the end. I don’t want to go further. Because I do not know what will happen tomorrow. We will fight each of the teams. We will do our utmost to forget previous results."
The Azerbaijani national team faced each of its opponents in the previous qualifying rounds. Although the team managed to defeat Slovakia 2-0 and made a draw with Croatia and Wales, it lost to Hungary in all matches. Gurbanov underlined that these moments did not play a psychological role for the team: "Those facts are left behind, they are the history. Today, we have to look real. All of these are stronger now and it will be difficult to fight them. Each player is in the top-leagues and worth millions. But we are not afraid of anyone. We will play and struggle! "
Notably, the Azerbaijan national team will play its first match against Croatia on March 21, 2019.
