Azerbaijan national team striker scores after 96 days

Baku. 13 March. REPORT.AZ/ Striker of Azerbaijan national football team and Turkish club “Bursaspor” Deniz Yılmaz hit the target after 96-day break. 

Report informs, 29-year-old forward scored an away goal against “Osmanlıspor” at 24th round of Turkish Super League.

This is his first goal since “Rizespor” game on December 5. He put “Bursaspor” ahead against “Osmanlıspor” at 40th minute of the game. But the hosting team avoided defeat by late equalizer - 1:1.

Azerbaijan national player was not happy with score, despite having hit the target after 96 days. He told that they were heart-broken with last minute equalizer: “I am disappointed for missing three points. We struggled well. It wasn’t easy to lead score in away game against them. We kept the score until 85th minute. We are not happy with 1:1. Conceding goal in last minutes disappoints everybody. But we should forget this game and fight for 3 points in coming home game”.

Notably, “Bursaspor” is at 10th place with 32 points. The team with D. Yılmaz will meet with “Alanyaspor” on March 19 within 25th week of league.
