Baku. 3 June. REPORT.AZ/ Interpol at the request of the United States issued a "red warrant" for the arrest of the former FIFA officials accused of corruption, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

Last week in Zurich several senior FIFA officials were arrested on charges of corruption, including the vice-president of Jeffrey Webb and Eugenio Figueredo, and Eduardo Lee, Julio Roca, Costas Takkas, Rafael Esquivel, Jose Maria Marin. A number of officials indicted.The former president of the Confederation of Football in North and Central America and the Caribbean, in the recent past, FIFA Vice President Jack Warner and former president of the South American Football Confederation Nicolas Leoz are among them.

The warrant for the arrest of Warner, Leos, and representatives of companies associated with FIFA Alejandro Burzako, Hugo and Jose Mariano Dzhinkisov and Margulis.

"Red warrant" is one of the ways by which Interpol informs its members of the judicial authority issuing a warrant for the arrest of an individual and finding his location for the purpose of extradition or similar lawful action.
