Baku. 7 December. REPORT.AZ/ Qaarabag that has stopped to compete in the Champions League will get funds from UEFA. 

Report informs, the first Azerbaijani team that has qualified for the group stage of the most prestigious club tournament of continent will receive 16 million EUR. According to revenue distribution scheme of 2015-2018 commercial cycle, 12.7 million EUR will be paid to all the clubs that have qualified for Champions League group stage. 1.5 million EUR will be paid for victory and 500,000 EUR for the playing in a draw in the group stage. 500,000 EUR left from each draw match will be distributed among all participants of group stage in accordance with number of victories.

In addition, marketing revenues will be distributed based on several factors including on the weight of the club in the television broadcasting market of its country.

Thus, Qarabag that qualified for group of CL earned 12.7 million EUR generated additional 1 million EUR by playing in a draw. Considering that in 2017/2018 season group stage there were 20 matches ending in a draw, it means additional 10 million Euro. However, Aghdam club did not show its victory joy in none of the matches.

According to the scheme, each club qualifying for 1/8 final will receive 6 million EUR, those qualifying for 1/4 final will receive 6.5 million EUR.

Semifinalists will get 7.5 million EUR, the losing team in the final will be paid 11 million EUR. The winner of the tournament will be awarded with 15.5 million EUR.
