Antoine Griezman becomes Atletico's top scorer

Antoine Griezmann is closing in on becoming Atletico Madrid's all-time top scorer as the France forward continues to enjoy a prolific 2023/24 season.

The 32-year-old entered the November international break as the Spanish giants' joint second-highest scorer of all time, courtesy of a goal in a 3-1 home LaLiga win over Villarreal, when he also provided an assist.

And on December 19, he pulled level with club great Luis Aragones at the top of the standings as he netted twice in a dramatic 3-3 draw against Getafe.

The former Barcelona and Real Sociedad star has had two spells with Atleti, first playing for them between 2014 and 2019 before rejoining the club in 2021.
