AFFA issues statement regarding establishment of new organization

"According to the information disseminated by media outlets, a group of individuals established AFFA Football Community Trade Union. We declare that although the organization uses AFFA's name, the above-mentioned organization has nothing to do with AFFA or the employees (former or current) of the structure," AFFA said in a statement.

According to Report, the official statement emphasizes that none of the founders of the newly formed organization posing as a Trade Union have ever had an employment relationship with AFFA. Taking this into account, the establishment of such a Trade Union using AFFA's name is contrary to the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Trade Unions".
