AFFA declares technical defeat to "Neftchi" FC

Baku. 25 April. REPORT.AZ/ Football club "Neftchi" have been awarded a technical defeat.

Report informs, decision was taken by AFFA disciplinary committee. 

The reason is violation of foreign player limit in the away game of 27th round of the Premier Premier League against Zira. The decision says: "The club “Neftchi” is awarded 0:3 technical defeat for violation of the limit by the club by substitution at 68th minute of the game".

In addition, “Neftchi” was fined AZN 800 for 5 yellow cards received by its players.

Notably, after this decision FK "Zira" climbed to the 4th place with 36 points and to a large extent guarantied the pass to the Europa League. It's enough for Ayhan Abbasov’s team to play a draw with AZAL at the away match on April 29 to seal the place in European tournament. Remaining at the 7th position with 29 points, "Neftchi" lost the chance for Europe League.
