WB welcomes Azerbaijan's initiative on sustainable development roadmap

The World Bank (WB) welcomes the initiative of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to work out the sustainable development roadmap, the bank's Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael said during the panel session on outlining new ways of accelerating green transformation in Azerbaijan.

She said production of low-carbon hydrogen is one of the most promising spheres of development in the country.

Sarah Michael added that Azerbaijan also has ample opportunities in the sphere of alternative energy sources.

In general, the World Bank aims to support Azerbaijan's reforms that stimulate investments in green technologies.
