Volume of cashless payments decreased in Azerbaijan

Baku. 10 August. REPORT.AZ/ Operations totaling 508 mln AZN carried out in January-July 2016 in Azerbaijan through POS-terminals.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to report, the volume of non-cash transactions increased by 150 mln AZN or 42% compared to the same period of previous year.

Operations in volume of 371 mln. AZN conducted via POS-terminals, 137 mln. AZN through ATMs.

Thus, the volume of cashless payments via ATMs increased by 156 mln. AZN or 73% while payments via POS-terminals decreased by 6 mln AZN or 4%.

According to report, the volume of non-cash payments through POS-terminals in June has decreased by 5 mln. AZN or 8%, and amounted to 58 mln AZN compared to the previous month and the volume of non-cash payments via ATMs did not change and has made 26 mln AZN.
