Total assets of Azerbaijani banks close to 32 bln AZN

Baku. 30 December. REPORT.AZ/ Financial Markets Supervision Chamber unveiled Azerbaijani bank sector summary by November 30, 2016.

Report was informed in chamber, total assets of 32 local banks make up 31 869 bln AZN, total obligations - 29 579 bln AZN, balance capital - 2.29 bln AZN.

Two of them are public banks. 15 banks operate with foreign capital, including two branches of foreign foreign banks. Network of banks operating in Azerbaijan include 568 branches, 129 departments, 2454 cash machines. Banking sector employs 17 thousand manpower.

156 non-bank lending organizations (NBLO), including credit alliances are other participants of financial market. 2882 people are employed in NBLOs.
