SOFAZ to allocate additional AZN 200M to refugees and IDPs

Baku. 27 November. REPORT.AZ/ The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) plans to allocate additional AZN 200 million for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDP), Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said in the parliament.

The minister also spoke about the increase of budget expenditures by AZN 410 million: "AZN 80 million will additionally be allocated for employment in the regions, AZN 11 million for those studying in higher schools at state expense and other expenditures on education in 2019-2020. Moreover, AZN 2.7 million will be allocated for the Youth Foundation, up 4.4-fold from the current year. AZN 800,000 is planned to be allocated for Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, AZN 4 million for newly-born hearing-impaired children and children with heart problems, AZN 4 million for financial provision of newly-established organizations."

Moreover, AZN 40 million will additionally be allocated for agricultural expenses, AZN 256 million for measures related to reforms. Dotation for municipalities will be reduced by AZN 500,000.
