SOFAZ brings share of investments in North America to 30%

As of July 1 this year, the share of European countries in the investment portfolio of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAR) amounted to 28.6%, which is 1.85 percentage points less than in the same period of 2021.

Report informs referring to the Fund that, according to information, over the past year, the share of the Asia-Pacific region decreased from 21.43% to 20.4%, the share of the North American region increased from 26.07% to 30.1%, the share of Australian and New Zealand regions decreased from 1.16% to 0, 6%, the share of the Middle East region dropped from 1.36% to 0.6%, the share of South American region fell from 0.04% to 0.1%, the share of African region changed from 0% to 0.1%, international financial organizations dropped from 6 .42% to 6.4%, the share of gold rose from 13.07% to 13.1%.

During the reporting period, the share of developed countries in SOFAZ investments decreased from 60.87% to 59.4%, the share of developing countries increased from 19.64% to 21%.
