Russian gold exports to China reach record high

In October 2022, Russia delivered 2.156 tons of gold to China for $124.588 million; deliveries doubled compared to October 2021, both in weight and monetary terms, Report informs, citing the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.

The figures include the supply of gold in raw and semi-processed forms.

In October 2021, deliveries amounted to 1.015 tons worth $57.686 million.

In January-October 2022, Russia exported to China 5.72 tons of gold in raw and semi-finished form for $329.92 million, while in the same period of 2021 the figures were 3.039 tons and $182.988 million, respectively. At the same time, over the first ten months of 2022, Russia supplied more gold to China, in both terms, than in entire 2021.

Deliveries in October were record highs in recent years. The data available on the website of the General Directorate of Customs starts from January 2017 and allows you to check the indicators of each month. According to these data, Russia in October set a record for the total value of the monthly supply of gold to China for nearly six years.
