Russian experts: Bitcoin will rise this year too

Baku. 4 January. REPORT.AZ/ Russian experts predict that growth in the world's most popular crypto-currency Bitcoin will continue in 2018, though slower than in 2017. Experts who say that Bitcoin has tested $ 20,000 by increasing 20 times in 2017, suggest that the increase 3-4 times in 2018 is possible.

Notably, price of bitcoin started at $ 926.3 in 2017 and grew almost 47-fold a year.

"2017 was the year of record for bitcoin. I think that it's price will continue to grow in 2018 and reach $ 50,000", Vice President of Prime Capital Hedge Fund, Svetlana Ivanova said.

The analyst of Brave New Coin and spokesperson for Russia's Waves Platform, Josh Olszewicz, also made a forecast of $ 50,000. According to him, it is unlikely that 20-fold increase in 2017 will be repeated in 2018.

President of the Russian Association of Crypto-currency and Blockchain (RABIC), Yuri Pripachkin, predicts that bitcoin will increase 3-5 times in 2018. According to him, even bitcoin can hit $ 100,000.

"There are different opinions about bitcoin. Some economists are convinced that by 2018, it will grow up to $ 60,000, while others think the opposite. In 2018, the bitcoin will get cheaper and will drop to $ 1,000 by the beginning of 2019. We mainly support the idea of optimism”, deputy director of Alpari's analytical department Natalia Milchakova said.
