Russia reduces investments in US state bonds to $14B

Baku. 17 October. REPORT.AZ/ In August 2018 Russia reduced the investments in US state bonds by $900 million to $14.097 billion, Report informs citing Russian media.

Of this, $3.378 billion is in long-term bonds, $10.719 billion in short-term bonds.

China heads the list of countries investing in US debt instruments with $1.165 trillion. China is followed by Japan with $1.029 trillion. The third place is held by Brazil ($317.8 billion). Ireland ranks 4th with $315.8 billion and Great Britain is 5th with 272.6 billion.

The maximum limit of Russia’s investments in the US state bonds was recorded in February 2013 ($164.3 billion).
