Retail trade turnover in Azerbaijan increases 

In January-May 2021, the volume of retail trade turnover in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 15,240,600,000, which is 0.3% less than a year earlier, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee (SSC).

The sale of food products, tobacco, and drinks amounted to AZN 8,381,200,000, non-food products amounted to AZN 6,859,400,000, down 2.2% and 1.9%, respectively, from the previous year.

One consumer bought food products, drinks, and tobacco worth AZN 304.6 on average, including food products, tobacco, and drinks worth AZN 167.5, and non-food products worth AZN 137.1 in the reporting period.
