Record budget surplus formed in Germany

Baku. 25 August. REPORT.AZ/ Germany has achieved the highest budget surplus since the reunification of the country.

Report informs citing the Deutsche Welle, experts attribute this to a powerful economic growth and favorable situation in the labor market.

The federal center, the land, communes and social funds collected for the reporting period 18.3 bln euros more than they used up, the Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden reported.This means that the state cash desks have provided on their own the highest surplus since the reunification of Germany. The large surplus was recorded only in the first half of 2000 - 28.8 bln euros, but then such an impressive result was achieved thanks to revenues from the sale of licenses for mobile communications UMTS.

According to economists, Germany's economy will continue to grow thanks to the positive attitude of consumers and the growing investments of numerous enterprises.In the second quarter of this year, the country's GDP increased by 0.6% compared to the first quarter.
