Real effective rate of Azerbaijani manat slightly shrinks

Baku. 14 July. REPORT.AZ/ The real effective rate of the Azerbaijani manat was 94.6 points as of June 1, 2017.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), this is 1% percentage point higher than the figure for May 1. Compared with the indicator for the corresponding period last year, the real effective rate rose by 1.8 points.

The stable real effective exchange rate of manat related to the fact that the national currencies of the countries-main trade partners of Azerbaijan - Turkish lira, Russian ruble and Chinese yuan did not show any serious fluctuations in relation to the dollar.This trend was replaced in June, when the currencies of partner countries were cheaper, which would be manifested in raising the real effective rate of manat.

Notably, real effective rate of manat is considered as the most acceptable in the range of 85-90 points.
