Population of Azerbaijan increased purchase of cash dollar by 71%

Baku. 18 September. REPORT.AZ/ Commercial banks of Azerbaijan in the framework of operations for the exchange of cash foreign currency in July 2015 bought 331 817 mln USD and sold 482 336 mln USD.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR), as a result, net sales of cash dollar to the population amounted to 150.519 mln USD, up by 2.5% in comparison with June.

In the same period of last year, net sales amounted to 443.872 mln USD, that is in July, net sales declined by 66%.This is due to the reduction in import volumes.

In first seven months of last year, net sales amounted to 3 422. 398 mln USD and in the same period of 2015, net sales increased by 71%, amounting to 5 856.164 mln USD.
