Money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia increase

Tbilisi. 18 September. REPORT.AZ/ In August 2018, $1,983,000 was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia, up 14.3% from previous month, Report’s correspondent informs citing the National Bank of Georgia.

Money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $1,080,300 in August.

In January-August $12,844,500 was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia, $7,887,500 from Georgia to Azerbaijan.

During the eight months, more than $1 billion was transferred from foreign countries to Georgia. In August, money transfers made up $135,627,600. Most of the funds was transferred from Russia ($41,502,800).
