Money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia exceed $20M

Tbilisi. 15 January. REPORT.AZ/ In 2018, $20,430,400 was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia, Report informs citing the National Bank of Georgia.

In the reporting period, $12,205,000 was transferred from Georgia to Azerbaijan.

Money transfer from Azerbaijan to Georgia in December 2018 amounted to $2,198,400, from Georgia to Azerbaijan – to $1,144,500.

In 2018, total money transfers from other countries to Georgia exceeded $1.5 billion. In December $150.9 million was transferred to Georgia, which is 9.1% more than 2017’s December.

Most of money transfers to Georgia in 2018 were carried out from Russia ($457,535,000), while 43,800,000 was transferred in December.
