Ministry: Azerbaijan will not apply VAT for taxi services

Baku. 4 December. REPORT.AZ/ Recently, some mass media have reported that 18% value added tax (VAT) will be calculated for taxi services operating in the country.
Report informs, Ministry of Taxes stated.
The ministry stated that the persons offering legal taxi service in the country are not imposed by VAT and citizens who are consumers of such a service, while paying for taxi services are not charged the VAT.
“As of January 1, 2018, in accordance with the change was made in tax legislation, VAT will be deducted only from cashless payments offered for work or service by non-residents who do not have permanent representative office in Azerbaijan and registration in tax authorities.”
