Minister of Finance: IBA's pre-privatization measures can be started

Baku. 19 September. REPORT.AZ/ "Implementation of pre-privatization measures of International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) can already be started.”

Report informs, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov has said.

“When the head of EBRD was on a visit in Azerbaijan he became interested in this issue. Of course, they expressed their interest in participating in this process. We will continue discussions in the future” said minister.

Regarding the interest of other organizations, S.Sharifov said it is a bit early to speak about it.

“Preparatory work will be carried out. Advisors with relevant experience and international influence will be engaged to this process and based on this privatization strategy will be formed. After that if strategy is adopted by the government, privatization will be announced. It is possible for privatization process to start in the beginning of 2018.”
