Kazakhstan’s economy grows nearly 3%

In the first quarter of 2020, Kazakhstan’s economy grew 2.7%, said the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Report informs citing foreign media.

According to him, the production industry grew 5%, including machinery increased by 30.4%, construction – by 11.7%. Along with this, the coronavirus pandemic had a negative impact on the finance, transport, and service sectors.

Capital investment in fixed capital rose 5.1%.

Currently, the currency reserves amount to $30 billion, the capital of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund stood at $57.5 billion.
