Japan's main stock market index reaches 21 year high

Baku. 11 October. REPORT.AZ/ Japanese stock market Nikkei 225 stock index rose to 20,904.5 points today and reached the peak since December 5, 1996.

Report informs citing the Bloomberg, Tokai Carbon, Pacific Metals and Fuji Electric have played a key role in increasing the index.

Seiichi Suzuki, a market analyst at Tokai Tokyo Research Institute said that "in the context of strong economy and market conditions, the stock market is expected to continue to grow."

Notably, Nikkei 225 stock index has reached a record high on December 29, 1989, and the index was 38,957.44 points. Currently, the index is approximately 46.4% lower than this level.
