In January bank assets decreased in Azerbaijan

Baku. 2 March. REPORT.AZ/ Total volume of the total assets of the banking system of Azerbaijan in comparison with the same period last year increased by 20.89% and by February 1, 2015 amounted to 24.838 billion manats.

Report informs referring to thereport of the Central Bank a decline in the total assets of banks observed by 1.4% on a monthly basis.

In 2014 assets of the banking system increased by 23.53% and at the beginning of the year amounted to 25.183 billion manats.Growth in assets until September of last year replaced with their reduction this month. Since the beginning of the year until September, assets increased by 15.51% to 23.547 billion manats to 1 October 2015 - fell to 23.506 billion manats.Then the growth rate recovered.
