Important statements expected from FED today

Baku. 5 July. REPORT.AZ/ The US Federal Reserve System (Fed) is expected to report on the results of last month's session at 22:00 Baku time today. 

Report informs citing the Vestifinance.ru, although it is reported that the Fed would begin to reduce its balance at the last session, it did not say when the process would take place.

Analysts expect report about this this evening. Notably, at the meeting held on June 13-14, the Fed raised the interest rate to 1-1.25%.

In addition, head of the organization Janet Yellen expected to announce Fed’s plans on monetary policy on July 7 and statements made at the US Congress on the results of the first half of this year on July 12.

Investors are expecting Fed to begin reducing balance by September and raise rates in December. At present, futures contracts show that this probability is high.Also, attention of investors will focus on Fed's view of inflation, which began to fall in recent months and moving away from the 2% target.

It is not excluded that Fed’s reports will have significant impact on US dollar's current exchange rate.
