Great Britain, Russia may refuse dollar in mutual settlement

Baku. 15 October. REPORT.AZ/ Great Britain and Russia may refuse US dollar in mutual settlements, said Russian trade envoy in London Boris Abramov, Report informs citing Russian media.  

According to him, there is a necessary infrastructure to switch to using of pound sterling and ruble in payment: "GBP is a free convertible currency like dollar and euro. Russian companies won’t have to open account in local and foreign banks in pound sterling."

The Russian official also noted that trade dialogue has restored for the first time since 2014: "The two countries have the same interests in the areas outside the sanctions and we are ready to cooperate."
