Government mortgage lending more than doubles in Azerbaijan

Mortgage lending through Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF) amounted to AZN 170.6 million in January-May 2021, 2.3-fold higher than the same period in 2020, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, the loans refinanced by the MCGF showed a nearly nine-fold increase to AZN 112.7 million.
The funds attracted through the issue of securities remained unchanged at AZN 55 million.
The funds allocated from the state budget to the MCGF dropped 2.1-fold to AZN 35.6 million.
