Government and people will jointly finance nursery schools in Azerbaijan

Baku. 1 December. REPOPRT.AZ/ Combined financing system can be applied in Azerbaijani schools and kindergartens.

Report informs, Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said.

“Corporate management standards should be applied in entities with ability to attract big financial resources. We have already transferred to market economy. The government assumes social burden. This is a policy carried out by president. Social policies will prevail. But sharing some expenditures between government and citizens, at the same time, leads to application of social control to make sure efficient use of resources. Currently we have both private (paid) and public (subsidized by government) kindergartens. We can apply combined financing principles for them”, the minister said.

S.Sharifov stated that they can consider combined sponsoring of musical schools as well: “We started consultations with Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Joint funding by government and interested parents can be applied in musical schools. If the parents are interested in their kids to study music, they should contribute to the process”.
