Gold prices rise slightly

Gold prices rose moderately late September 22, recovering slightly from their biggest drop in two months on September 21, Report informs referring to Interfax.
Prices for December gold contracts on the New York Comex exchange increased by 0.3%, to $1,945.5 per troy ounce.
Gold prices fell 1.4% on September 21, the fastest pace since August 1, as the US dollar strengthened on hawkish Federal Reserve cues.
The Federal Reserve on September 20 left the base rate unchanged at 5.25-5.5% per annum, the highest in 22 years. At the same time, the median forecasts of the heads of the US Central Bank suggest that by the end of 2023 the rate will be 5.6%.
