Food prices up 5% in Azerbaijan

In January-April 2020, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Azerbaijan made up 103%, including prices of food, beverages, and tobacco products – 105.4%, non-food products – 101.2%, and paid services – 101.1%, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee (SSC).
In April, the CPI was 100.1% compared to the previous month, 103% - to a year earlier.
The prices of food products, beverage, and tobacco products stood at 100.7% compared to March, 106% by contrast to 2019.
The consumer prices index rose 0.1% compared to the previous month, 1.3% in comparison with 2019.
