Samir Sharifov: Flexible financial buffers should be created in economy

The price of one barrel of oil is set at $ 35 for the next six months in Azerbaijan's state budget.

Report informs, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said during the discussion of the draft amendments to the Law on State Budget for 2020.

"The situation with oil in April-May was even tenser, the price fell to $ 13. President Ilham Aliyev has taken certain steps to reduce the negative impact on the economy. One of the problems in the current socio-economic situation is its uncertainty. Today, no one in the world can say how long the pandemic will last. The government believes that flexible financial buffers should be created in the economy to prevent potential threats. With the proposed changes to the budget, it was also taken into account that growing expenditures in our country do not harm the macroeconomic stability."
