Finance minister: Azerbaijani manat strengthens 10%

Baku. 21 November. REPORT.AZ/ The national currency rate of Azerbaijan has strengthened since beginning of 2017.
Report informs, finance minister Samir Sharifov said at today’s plenary session of parliament discussing the 2018 state budget draft.
“During the period, rate of Azerbaijani manat against US-dollar featured 10% strength” said minister.
Sharifov added that the speed of economic recession as compared with the beginning of 2017 slowed: “At the expense of economical use of currency reserves and fiscal measures the deficit of review budget in 9 months has narrowed, 1.2% surplus achieved in public budget.”
