Economic growth up by 5.7% in Azerbaijan

Baku. 15 July. REPORT.AZ/ In the first half of this year, total domestic products in sum of 26,3 billion manats or 5.7% more than in the same period of the previous year, were made in Azerbaijan.

Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee, in this period, GDP in the non-oil sector rose 9,2% while in oil and gas production and processing industry increased by 1.3%. The share of non-oil sectors in the GDP reached 66.9%.

Production areas of the economy constituted 54.1% of GDP, while industry 36.0%, the construction 12.5%, agriculture, forestry and fishing 5.6%, the service sector 37.5% and net taxes of production and import 8.4%.

By Azerbaijan-based enterprises, organizations and individuals, total domestic products in sum of 21.3 billion manats or 5.3% more than in the same period last year were made in January-May 2015.
