Baku. 1 November. REPORT.AZ/ The next meeting of the US Federal Reserve System (Fed) starting a day before ends today.
Report informs, no change is expected in discount rate at the meeting. According to futures contracts on US bonds, financial markets today estimate the probability of increasing discount rate by 0%.
Notably, Fed’s next meeting will be held on December 12-13. At this meeting, probability of increasing discount rate is currently at 85%. Thus, after the last monetary policy meeting on September 20, the US economic indicators improved, positive steps were taken on tax reform and stock indexes rose.
It was predicted that the US-dollar will continue to strengthen in the global currency market until the next session. Notably, no press conference will be held after today's meeting.
