Deficit of Azerbaijan's balance of payments observed in 1Q2020

In the first quarter of 2020, the total deficit of Azerbaijan's balance of payments stood at $1,343.5 million. However, in the same period last year, the balance of payments observed a surplus of $2,019.3 million.
The overall loss is due to the residue of $646.3 million in the country's current account balance (59.7% less by annual comparison), the financial account deficit of $1,394.1 million (6.5 times more), and the shortage of $ 595.7 million on balancing items, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan told Report.
