COVID-19 vaccine maker Moderna gets net profit for first time

For the first time in its history (since 2010), COVID-19 vaccine maker Moderna, an American biotech company, received a net profit of $ 1.2 billion in the first quarter of 2021.
In the first quarter of 2020, the company posted a net loss of USD 124 million. Moderna's revenue in January-March 2021 was USD 1.9 billion ($ 8 million for the same period last year). Of this amount, $ 1.7 billion is the proceeds from the sale of coronavirus vaccines.
By the end of this year, Moderna intends to produce 1 billion doses, and next year - 3 billion doses.
