China intends to ban trade in bitcoins

Baku. 11 September. REPORT.AZ/ The Chinese authorities have issued an order to close the crypto currency exchanges in the country, which provoked a drop in the cost of bitcoin by 15.2%. Report informs citing the Forexpf.Ru, this was the second blow to the digital currency market with a turnover of 150 bln dollars after earlier this week China officially outlawed the initial placement of coins (ICO).

As the Caixin news agency reported referring to anonymous sources in the Internet finance risk working group, the authorities are preparing to impose a ban on the activities of all China's crypto- exchanges, and have already issued a notice among local regulators.

It remains unclear whether the country's crypto-currency exchanges have received such an order.So, the Huobi spokesperson for public relations said that the company did not receive any notifications and continues to function as usual.The official representative of Okcoin also confirmed that the authorities did not send any notifications of closure to the management of the exchange.
