CBA withdraws 1,322 counterfeit banknotes from circulation

Baku. 12 November. REPORT.AZ/ The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) kept focusing on effective organization of combat against counterfeit banknotes.
Report informs citing the CBA that 1,322 (AZN 30,478) counterfeit banknotes were withdrawn from circulation in 2017 and handed over to the law enforcement agencies.
"There is 1 counterfeit banknote for every 163,000 banknotes, which is lower than other countries. In the circulation on Eurozone, there is 1 counterfeit banknote for every 30,000 banknotes," the bank said.
